The Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre
It’s a true gem for the square of Marietta to have!
What was once a theater in trouble is now transformed and houses some of the best live plays in the area. One that you just can’t miss? The Little Black Dress – The Musical!
The Little Black Dress – The Musical

The Little Black Dress – The Musical
Written by all females (Danielle Trzcinski (SPANK! The Fifty Shades Parody!), Natalie Tenenbaum (Tony-nominated Mean Girls Broadway) and Toronto natives Amanda Barker (Sirius XM’s Canada Laughs), and Christopher Bond (DISENCHANTED, Evil Dead The Musical!), this hilarious comedy is one that just screams Girls Night Out.
Gather up all the girls and get your tickets now! This show is only playing in Marietta July 10-14th and is one that you just can’t miss.
There’s certain to be laughter, suspense, drama and maybe even a few relatable tears…because sometimes ladies, all we need to put on to feel special is our own little black dress.
(Due to the nature and language of the content, this show is recommended for ages 19+)
Don’t miss out on their future shows as well!
While The Little Black Dress is one you need to see now, the theater has some other great options coming up in the very near future of 2019.
- JukeBox Giants – August 2019
- Smoke on the Mountain – September 2019
- Whose Wives are they Anyway? – October 2019
- Man and his Prostate – November 2019
- A Christmas Tradition – December 2019
Make certain to check with the ticket office about times, dates and ticket availability.
Take of tour of the history in Marietta Square
There is a lot of history to be seen just by walking around the square in Marietta. You can view the Marietta Museum of History or sign up for one of the walking ghost tours as well.
If you feel like having a “spooky” fun time, that may be just what you and your girlfriends need to do!
Parking in Marietta Square
There should be plenty of parking all around the area, but keep your eyes peeled as there is free 2-hour parking in certain areas, too. Some parking lots offer free parking as well but you just need to keep your eyes open as you’re trying to find a place.
Last, but not least, don’t forget about all the picture perfect fun that you and your girls can have. After you’ve seen a show, eaten some food and did a little bit of shopping, why not take turns taking pictures of all of you with all the beautiful sites of the Square.
Look for flower gardens, statues or just fun artwork that you might find sprinkled about. Every good Girls Night Out needs to have some awesome pictures to look back on as proof that it really did happen! (or…maybe, just maybe, what happens at the square in Marietta stays at the square in Marietta…)
