Table & Main Restaurant- Southern Dining in Historic Roswell

Downtown Roswell, GA has become a trendy location for Atlanta to dine out. Canton Street is boasting of swanky restaurants that are packed each weekend with guests looking to relax and nosh on delicious cuisine. For a romantic date night, my husband and I had the opportunity to experience Table & Main Restaurant – a Roswell favorite that has been recognized by the James Beard Foundation and the AJC. I received a complementary meal to help facilitate my review, but all opinions here are my own.

The Atmosphere at Table & Main

This is the spot to come and kick back to relax. The restaurant is welcoming and the vibe is casual but also romantic. It’s the perfect opportunity to unplug and wind down from a work week. They offer indoor and outdoor patio dining. Table & Main is a great spot for a date night or girls night out. It’s on the heart of Canton Street next to premiere shopping and entertainment destinations.

The Delicious Food at Table & Main

The Executive Chef, Woolery “Woody” Back, brings Southern flair to every plate. His culinary style is inspired by his Kentucky roots and that’s very apparent in each bite.

Appetizers

The best way to start any Southern dinner is with ‘Cornbread Muffins with Honey Butter.” Trust me when I tell you, you will want seconds on these delicious bite size muffins.

The ‘Meatloaf Meatballs’ were another favorite appetizer that we tried. It was fork tender and the portions are favorable. It’s rare to find a meatloaf that rivals one from a Southern Mama’s kitchen, but Table & Main serves it! Don’t pass on sharing a few appetizers when you go.

Entrees

The menu options range from fried chicken to catfish, with a few vegetarian options thrown in. The options are sure to please any Southern palate. I had the ‘Trout’ which is garnished with bacon and sundried tomato, served over a BLT salad and finished with basil aioli sauce. It’s a nice light and fresh option.

My Husband picked the ‘Fried Chicken’ paired with Mac n’ Cheese as a side item. Need I say more? It’s a decadent option with the moist all-natural chicken and the three cheeses included in the Mac n’ Cheese.

Dessert

Of course, no Souther dinner is complete without the sweet taste of ‘Banana Pudding’. The caramelized bananas paired with the chantilly cream is the sweet ending your meal deserves. I love how it’s prepared in a mason jar.

If you are looking for a romantic date night in historic Roswell, then I would definitely recommend Table & Main Restaurant. The service you receive is excellent, food is absolutely delicious and filling, and the atmosphere provides that romantic and cozy feeling. Southern dining at it’s finest!
