Family Fun Attractions at I-Drive 360
I-Drive 360 is a destination that needs to be on every Orlando vacationer’s list to visit. I-Drive 360 is Orlando’s new $250 million attraction and entertainment destination and home to The Coca-Cola Orlando Eye. Visitors could easily spend an entire day exploring all the shops, restaurants, museums, and attractions I-Drive 360 has to offer.
Coca-Cola Orlando Eye
To get a bird’s eye view of not only the I-Drive area but all of Orlando and more, we took a ride on the Coca-Cola Orlando Eye. We boarded the 400 foot tall observation wheel where we had one of the 30 glass enclosures to ourselve’s complete with a complimentary Coca Cola.
We went during the day and were able to see for miles. I am sure it would also be exciting to ride at night watching a beautiful sunset, the lights, and possibly fireworks.
Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum
Another fun attraction nearby was Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum. The museum is a self paced tour and we saw real life sized wax people including famous movie stars and athletes, presidents, famous inventors, and icons throughout history. My daughters favorite was the new addition to the museum….a real life looking wax Justin Bieber!
My favorite was David Beckham. This was the perfect activity to escape the Florida heat for a little while and we enjoyed some Ben and Jerry’s ice cream on the lawn afterward.
SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium
We saved the SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium for our last day and it was definitely something I would recommend for people of all ages. It is deceiving from the entrance at the size of the aquarium but we were pleasantly surprised at how many fish and other marine life we got to see.
We were able to go to a shark feeding right when we got there and hear the diver Stephanie educate us about the sharks and other interesting facts about the aquarium. We all loved the sea horses and the jellyfish. Even my two year old had fun playing with the interactive displays and the touch pool.
There is even a playground for the kids at the end of the tour. Also, for only an additional $5 we were able to take a behind the scenes tour that lasted about 25 minutes where we got to meet and chat with the divers, see how the fish food is made and how they are fed, and go above the tanks and see what it takes to make everything at the aquarium operate safely.
We spent two half days here at I-Drive 360 exploring what all they had to offer. There is so much to see an do and will keep the kids entertained. It was also walking distance to our hotel at the Wyndham International Drive. I highly recommend purchasing the combo pass for all the attractions and using at your own leisure during your stay.
