I am going to pin this. Never know when an adventure will come up and we can stay in a castle! I stayed at one in northern England when I was in college. It was like a fairytale walking up to it, especially at night when they guards opened the big doors.

You don’t see posts about “The most beautiful houses in lower-income neighborhoods” or “Wouldn’t you like to take a tour of scenic down-town Detroit?” NO! I want to see castles! I want to raise the draw bridge, stick my kids in the Iron Maiden if they won’t eat their vegetables, and scream from the parapets of The Petite Chambord Challain-la-Potherie “Now go boil your bottoms, you filthy English k-nnnnn-igits!”
