2020 Toyota Sienna Review
Have you ever heard the term “minivan mom?” It’s really not a term that most moms embrace with open arms but ever since I was able to test drive a 2020 Toyota Sienna SE, I’m thinking that I would be the coolest mom ever cruising around town in this sporty vehicle. Who would have thought a minivan would be referred to as sporty? Think again.
While I can totally envision loading up the kids and all their friends and running them to and fro, I was able to actually use this gorgeous minivan for a recent fun girlfriend getaway to the King and Prince Beach and Golf Resort in Saint Simons Island.
What better way to put some miles on a car than having all your girlfriends load up and be together in one vehicle?
If you’re looking for a more technical car review, this post is not for you. I’m offering you my honest review of what I loved about the Sienna. I test drove the 2020 Toyota Sienna SE for seven days. This car was loaned to me by Toyota USA for review purposes. All opinions are mine.
The 2020 Toyota Sienna SE is Roomy, Sporty, and Fun!
Since the 2020 Toyota Sienna SE seats 7 passengers comfortably, this “minivan mom” was able to load up six of my travel buddies. That means no time is lost in being able to road trip together while enjoying great conversations and sharing some fun times!
Hashtag #selfie.
So besides being able to be in one vehicle together, what else did I love about the new 2020 Toyota Sienna SE?
Here are some of the other top features that stood out!
1. Safety and Convenience
Feeling stressed out about other cars on the road? You’re going to love the pre-collision system that the 2020 Toyota Sienna offers. There are even blind spot mirrors as well which were amazing to have when we were driving down the highway!
Other safety features of the 2020 Toyota Sienna SE include:
- LATCH locations for second and third-row seats
- Rear parking assist
- Childproof locks
- High strength steel body panels
This minivan is well-equipped and with a 5-star safety rating, you can rest easy knowing that you’re surrounded by must-have vehicle features.
I now have a teen driver in the house, so I especially love the backup camera, lane departure alert, and steering assist.

2. Exterior highlights
The Sienna doesn’t look like your traditional minivan. It’s definitely sleeker and more sporty, especially with its upper and lower mesh grille openings, black wheels and door handles. Some of the 2020 Toyota Siennas even offer the Nightshade Edition. This minivan may actually turn heads.
3. Interior highlights
Did I mention all the space this minivan offers? Since all of us were able to ride together while touring Saint Simons Island, it made it so much easier for everyone.
There was no need for traveling in separate cars or filling up more than one gas tank. Speaking of fuel, the Sienna gets around 19 City / 27 Highway / with 22 mpg combined. (Miles per gallon may vary).
This vehicle offered us convenience, much needed space, and comfort. Other interior aspects that deserve a shoutout include:
- Leather-trimmed seats to give upgraded look and feel
- High headspace for plenty of room
- Lots of legroom for all heights and sizes
- Tons of storage space for all the luggage
- 5 USB ports for electronic charging and use
- Sunroof
Final thoughts about the 2020 Toyota Sienna
I wouldn’t hesitate to make this our next purchase. With two teenagers still at home and the additional four grandboys, this minivan would make the most sense for us.
As our children have gotten older, we’re on the road a lot more taking them to meetings, trips, friend’s houses, concerts…you name it. Being able to travel in comfort, class, style, and safety is so important to me.
While the 2020 Toyota Sienna SE was a perfect vehicle for our recent girls’ trip…
It is also an excellent family car as well.
Toyota has gone above and beyond to make this vehicle almost perfect.
If you’re in the market to upgrade your minivan and become literally the coolest “minivan mom” on the block, there’s no doubt that the 2020 Toyota Sienna SE can make that happen.
