Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa
Hammock Beach Resort, located in Palm Coast, Florida, is one of my new favorite Florida luxury resort and destination. If you are looking for the ideal beachfront hotel in Florida for your next Florida family vacation, a couple’s getaway, girlfriend’s getaway, or that perfect wedding destination, this resort offers something for everyone.
This post is in partnership with Hammock Beach Resort as part of the We Grow Retreat. I will be providing my personal opinion of this resort. Of course, all opinions are my own.
This golf resort and spa is in a prime location for seeing many of the major attractions in Florida. It’s not too far from Daytona, Jacksonville, and St. Augustine, which opens up all kinds of family-friendly opportunities.
In addition to being conveniently located to major Florida attractions nearby, Hammock Beach Resort is also incredibly easy to get to. It’s only about an hour’s drive from Jacksonville airport to the resort, making it a breeze to fly in and head directly to all the fun the resort has to offer.
When you couple its location with its championship golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus, sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean, six restaurants, nine pools, and a full-service spa, Hammock Beach Resort becomes the ultimate Florida vacation even if you never leave the grounds.
Speaking of the grounds, stepping onto Hammock Beach Resort is stepping into a land of unmatched beauty. The gorgeous circle drive in a beautiful red is accented by a wonderful fountain with landscaping surrounding it. The entire area is wreathed in palm trees, and the bushes and grounds are immaculate.
The entire thing creates the perfect frame for the resort itself, with Spanish-style architecture and slate roofing that is as pleasing to the eye as the grounds that welcome you. The beach views can’t be left out, either. White sands and a lapping ocean make the perfect backdrop for sporty fun or just lounging in the sun.
Property Amenities & Activities
The resort itself is jam-packed with great activities for you and your family – so much so, that you never have to leave the resort to have a great time if you don’t want to.
The one-mile beach features a variety of ocean activities from lounging on the beach to watersports and more.
You’ll also find eight hydr0-grid clay tennis courts along with a pro shop and expert instructors and the famous Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course featuring a challenging game of golf along with great views.

Hammock Beach Golf
Along with the Nicklaus Ocean Course, avid golfers will also find the Watson Conservatory Course. There are golf group options and golf packages available.
Choose from a Just Golf package at $132 per golfer per night, a Mid-Week Golf package at $159 per golfer per night featuring 25% off accommodations and up to 50% off golfing, and an Ocean Course Only package for $160 per golfer per night, and a Conservatory Golf package – the most affordable option – at $137 per golfer per night.

Hammock Beach Pools & Lazy River
One of the biggest pluses for families at Hammock Beach Resort is the Fantasy Pool Complex. This complete aquatic experience features zero-entry access and waterfalls on the lower level, while nearby, the lazy river – featuring tubes and water sprayers for an extra layer of fun – meanders around the complex, dropping you into the lower level pool. Note, all pools are at 50% capacity at this time.
On the upper level, you’ll find more family-friendly water fun with another zero-entry pool featuring a sandy “beach” area that the kids will love.
Grownups will want to enjoy the U-shaped pool along with the whirlpool spa for some relaxation time.
- Other Resort On-Site Activities
The resort offers a fitness center, a putting course, bicycling, so everyone in the family can have a blast while staying at this gorgeous resort.
The resort has really done its homework, ensuring that its wide variety of activities make for a great stay for all, and that’s one of the hallmarks of a truly great resort.
Room Accommodations
The resort has a variety of lodging options for families from on-site options to vacation rentals found throughout the Cinnamon Beach, Yacht Harbor Village, and Ocean Hammock communities, all of which are a short drive to the main resort grounds. Visitors to the resort can enjoy lodging options including:
- The Lodge Hotel

- Luxury Condominiums
- Villas

While not all accommodations on the property are pet-friendly, select Lodge Accommodations at Hammock Beach do allow families to bring their pets.*
During my visit, I personally had the opportunity to stay in their 3-Bedroom Luxury Condo.
The condo featured all the style of the resort’s signature hotel rooms along with all the comforts of home like a full-sized kitchen, laundry room, and dining area.
It really felt like living in a home away from home and I enjoyed waking up to this view every day from my private balcony.
No matter which option you choose for your needs, the lodging is impeccable, living up to the high standards of Hammock Beach Resort in both form and function. These beautifully appointed accommodations are the perfect mix of high class and welcoming relaxation.

Things to do and see near Hammock Beach Resort
Hammock Beach Resort is located in Palm Coast, just a short drive from a few major Florida area attractions.
During your stay at Hammock Beach, I also highly recommend a visit to St. Augustine, one of the most culturally and historically rich spots in all of Florida. It is only a short 45-minute drive north.
A personal favorite stop was at Marineland Dolphin Adventure. I and five other friends had the chance to do a dolphin animal encounter and swim.
It was one of the best dolphin swims I’ve ever been a part of. It truly lived up to the Royal Swim name.
Afterward, we all headed over to Flagler Beach and had a delicious lunch at the Funky Pelican.
This restaurant is a fun little establishment directly on the beach that provides plenty of great food, great times, and a great atmosphere. That’s a lot of greats!
Or, about an hour and a half away from the resort, you could spend the day at the Kennedy Space Center located in Port Canaveral, Florida.
And, just under two hours, you may want to venture to Orlando. Of course, Orlando is known for its popular theme parks and attractions, like Disney, Universal Studios, and Sea World. It may be doable for one day of theme park fun of your choice, but you will have to get up early and stay up late!
Before we go, it’s best not to forget Palm Coast itself. The city is a nature-lovers dream with over 125 miles of interconnecting trails, abundant fishing and boating, bird-watching, and more. It’s also home to amazing tennis and golf courses – one of which can be found at Hammock Beach Resort.
Safety Measures in Mind
While the resort is open for business, don’t get the wrong impression. They value safety as much as they do showing you a good time. In fact, they believe both of them go hand-in-hand.
They’re doing their part to ensure that your family has a fun and SAFE experience by following all recommended CDC precautions to protect Resort guests, Club members, and service professionals.
Pools and restaurants are open at 50% capacity and all resort employees are required to masks. They also highly encourage guests to wear face coverings or masks when they are outside of their guest rooms. Hand sanitizing stations are located throughout the property. I felt very comfortable and safe during my stay.
Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa is the Ultimate Florida Family Vacation Destination
From beach bumming to golfing or a short drive to Daytona or St. Augustine, this luxury resort in Florida should be on your next travel bucket list.
With its excellent location, fantastic activities, and welcoming accommodations, Hammock Beach Resort offers the best of the best in everything they do. If you’re planning a family vacation or even a girlfriend’s getaway, I highly suggest this fantastic resort location.
