If you love movies and shopping, a visit to the IMAX Entertainment Complex in Branson, MO is a must. While it has definite similarities of a movie theater, they offer so much more. This entertainment complex offers the latest mega box office hits to sit and view, live shows, shopping options, and some delicious dining as well. The IMAX Entertainment Complex is the perfect place to rest your feet, get out of the heat, grab some lunch or dinner, and watch in true amazement one of the clearest pictures that you’ve ever seen. This post is in partnership with Stone Castle Hotel, but all opinions are always my own.
Enjoy A Day at the IMAX Entertainment Complex in Branson
You may be accustomed to seeing regular movies at the theater, but if you’ve never experienced watching a movie in 3D, doing so at the IMAX theater is the perfect place to start. Glasses are provided for you to wear so that you can experience the 3D effects of the movie. In the IMAX Theatre, the screens are large, with an incredibly vivid and clear picture. Watching a 3D IMAX movie makes you feel as if you are right there in the middle of the action. Plus, there isn’t a bad seat in the house. Not all movies there are 3D, but they typically do have a few to choose from. In addition to offering several movie selections, they also play Ozarks Legacy and Legend several times a day. It is a film focusing on the beauty and history of the area, and it is absolutely wonderful to see in the full IMAX experience.
There isn’t a bad seat in the IMAX Entertainment Complex
Not only are there plenty of seats for everyone in your family to join and sit in comfort, but the layout of their seating is more like amphitheater style where it’s rounded and each row is stacked up higher than the first. There is no worrying about if you can see over the top of another head. Every seat in the entertainment complex offers an incredible view of the screen. Plus, there is plenty of room to stretch out those legs!

After spending the afternoon exploring everything that the IMAX Entertainment Complex has to offer, head over for some delicious homemade cooking at McFarlain’s Family Restaurant. The smells from the homemade cooking are too enticing not to stop!
Food items from the menu range from Homemade Honey Cornbread to delicious Fried Green Tomatoes.
Don’t forget about dessert when you are eating at McFarlain’s Family Restaurant! They are known for their homemade pies, but especially for the Traffic Jam Pie. It’s bursting full of cherries, strawberries, rhubarb, and cranberries and hits literally every flavor point in your mouth. Order it warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
McFarlain’s Family Restaurant takes you down memory lane of Branson
A really unique and fun way that McFarlain’s showcased their memories of Branson was by having old photo’s lining the walls showing the progression of how Branson has changed over the years.
It was stunning to see how it has grown and become one of the best vacation destinations in the US. Arrive early, fill your belly and take your time learning a bit of history about Branson. It’s a fun way to have a self-comparison of the places that you’ve visited during your time there.
