During a recent press trip to LA, I had the incredible opportunity to get an exclusive tour of Walt Disney Animation Studios and behind the scenes peek at the upcoming Ralph Breaks the Internet movie. I, along with 24 other bloggers found ourselves mesmerized by the 57th feature movie that Disney has released. Was it possible for them to have another mega-hit on their hands? The answer is 100% yes.

Myself, along with 24 other bloggers, were invited by Disney to attend the #ChristopherRobinEvent and #RalphBreaksTheInternetEvent.  All expenses were paid and all opinions are our own.

Walt Disney Animation Studios – Creating great movies year after year

Touring the Walt Disney Animation Studios was a true dream come true. My entire childhood (and adult life as well!), I’ve been one of the biggest fans of anything and everything Disney that you’ll ever see. When learning that a tour of the Walt Disney Animation studios was on the agenda, I literally had to contain my squeals of excitement.

As I walked through the halls, it was as if all my memories of my favorite movies were greeting me with the biggest and warmest hug. Pictures of all the familiar characters that we all grew up with everyone, but there was one movie that was being highlighted. Ralph Breaks the Internet pictures lined the wall, building up the excitement and anticipation every step of the way.

Word will never be able to describe everything amazing that I was fortunate to see behind the scenes at Walt Disney Animation Studio, but if you can imagine a world filled with everything Disney and Ralph…you’re very, very close to seeing what I got to experience.

Have I mentioned that Ralph Breaks the Internet is directed, written and produced by some of the most talented people in the industry? During our tour of Walt Disney Studios, they were available and willing to sit and answer some of our rapid-fire questions that we tossed their way.

Why not Ralph Wrecks the Internet since he’s Wreck-It-Ralph?

It was playing off of Ralph wrecks, but breaking the Internet is a thing, and there may be a literal breaking of the Internet in our movie, potentially. How fun would it be to have it tie in for breaking the Internet literally and figuratively, and Ralph would become confused by that notion.

Can you give any tidbits on what Ralph is doing to make his videos go viral in the movie?

We thought about this and basically ended up asking ourselves “What would Ralph do?”. The answer? Copy whatever is popular at the time, so that’s what he did.

Was it hard for the Princesses in the movie to get back into their characters?

Shockingly, no! For some of the princesses, it had been 20 or 30 years since they’d debuted but they all were able to get right back into character with ease.

The Internet is always changing and setting trends. Will Ralph Breaks the Internet be a trendsetter as well?

From a story-telling standpoint, there are some ideas that will break ground and some of Ralphs’s fashion choices are interesting as well during the film, which you’ll have to wait and see. We felt that the movie should feel like the internet. The tone of it, the humor and the heart of it. Maybe because of where we were heading, we hope that it will inspire

Do you foresee or hope for another sequel?

I can’t think about that right now. We have several weeks of work left. Maybe you can, but I’m so immersed in this one that I can barely tie my shoe in the morning.

Ralph Breaks the Internet – Coming to a Theater Near You

I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again…Ralph Breaks the Internet will break box office records. There’s no way to deny the adorableness of Ralph, and it’s so simple to open your heart up to him and his shenanigans.

“Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2” leaves Litwak’s video arcade behind, venturing into the uncharted, expansive and thrilling world of the internet—which may or may not survive Ralph’s wrecking. Video game bad guy Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly) and fellow misfit Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Sarah Silverman) must risk it all by traveling to the world wide web in search of a replacement part to save Vanellope’s video game, Sugar Rush. In way over their heads, Ralph and Vanellope rely on the citizens of the internet—the netizens—to help navigate their way, including a webite entrepreneur named Yesss (voice of Taraji P. Henson), who is the head algorithm and the heart and soul of trend-making site “BuzzzTube.” Directed by Rich Moore (“Zootopia,” “Wreck-It Ralph”) and Phil Johnston (co-writer “Wreck-It Ralph,” “Cedar Rapids,” co-writer “Zootopia,”), and produced by Clark Spencer (“Zootopia,” “Wreck-It Ralph,” “Bolt”), “Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-Ralph 2” hits theaters on Nov. 21, 2018.
