4. Under the Cork Tree
My husband and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Under the Cork Tree. It was a delightful culinary experience with the taste of the Mediterranean.
Their extensive wine list and drink selection were fantastic and the waiters were so knowledgeable and helpful in describing the drinks and helping to make selections. I ended up choosing a Passionfruit Skinny and I fell in love with my first sip.
After we delighted our taste buds with some cocktails and wine, we decided on the main entrees. Although I heard their tapas were fantastic, I selected the 10-hour Braised Lamb Shank ($34) topped with creamy feta cheese and hazelnut spice. The Lamb Shank was so tender and tasty. I savored every last bite.
My husband went with the Whole Crispy Snapper ($28) which paired well with the house-made labneh, Lebanese cucumbers, spices, and lemon. He was certainly impressed!
We also both added on small Horiatiki salads, which is their classic Greek Salad. It was made with baby romaine, Greek olives, cucumber, feta, peppers, onions, tomatoes, basil, oregano, and red wine vinaigrette. I could have made a meal out of the Horiatiki salad, it was that delicious. You can add shrimp, salmon, chicken skewers or hanger steak and make it your main entree if you choose.
There were so many things on the Mediterranean-inspired menu that I wanted to try but did not have an opportunity. So, my husband and I both will definitely be planning another visit soon.
