Instant Pot Pizza takes the classic pizza and transforms it into a delectable one-pot wonder. The recipe is quick, easy, and packed with the flavors of your favorite pizzeria. With it taking only 15 minutes to cook, dinner will be ready for you and your family in no time at all.
Ingredients:
- 1 package of refrigerated pizza dough
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese
- pizza toppings such as pepperoni and black olives (no raw meat)
- 2 cups water
- fresh chopped basil (optional)
Instructions:
- Begin by greasing a pan that fits into your instant pot with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.
2. Next, spread your pizza dough onto a flat surface and press to shape to an even thickness. Place the prepared pan on top of the dough and cut around the dough with a knife. You’ll have a circle shape. Place dough into the pan.
3. Spoon sauce onto the pizza and spread it out evenly on the dough, being sure not to put sauce around the edges for the crust.
4. Then, sprinkle cheese and place the toppings of your choice on the pizza dough.
5. Cover the pan with foil.
6. Create a foil sling by folding a long piece of foil in half. Then place the foil under the pan and bring the ends up and around the pan.
7. Place the trivet into the instant pot and fill it with water. Place the sling and pizza into the pot. Tuck in the ends of the sling.
8. Place the lid on the instant pot and seal shut. Close the pressure release valve. Set the instant pot to manual, high pressure for 15 minutes.
9. When the cooking cycle is complete, quickly release the pressure. Open the pot and carefully remove the pizza and foil sling. Discard foil and top the instant pot pizza with fresh basil before serving, if desired.
