Wyndham Orlando Resort International Drive
Wyndham International Drive in Orlando is an affordable hotel and close proximity to popular theme parks, attractions, dining, and shopping.
When I am traveling with my family and in search for that perfect hotel, I am looking for affordability, comfort, and location. I want to be within walking distance or a short drive to many family-friendly attractions, shopping, as well as dining. The Wyndham International Drive in Orlando offers just that!
We took a recent trip down to Florida with the kids and here are five things we loved about staying at this Wyndham I-Drive property:
1. Modern and Updated
From the moment you walk into the lobby of the Wyndham International Drive Hotel, it’s like you’re checking into a small piece of paradise.
The lobby has a modern flair featuring a lounge area, bar, and even Starbucks coffee.
It feels like you are walking into a five-star luxury hotel.
We were greeted by friendly staff and there was no wait to check in. We were shown our room promptly.
2. Updated Property and Oasis Style Pool
There are two pools, an outdoor spa, sauna, steam room, and a newly renovated workout room all centrally located in the middle of the property. The oasis style pool was great for relaxing while the kids played.
The landscape was well manicured and lush for a hot July, but creating that seclusion as well as relaxing atmosphere for the guests.

3. Spacious and Updated Family Suites
The family suite is roomy with a king size bed and bunk beds for the children tucked away in the back. The family suite also conveniently has two televisions, a mini-fridge, and a closet. Parking was so convenient right outside our door and down one flight of stairs. Guests can also choose rooms overlooking the pool or with a private balcony.
4. Great Food / Dining Options
While lounging at the pool, we enjoyed some cocktails from Gatorville which is one of two restaurants on the Wyndham property. Gatorville overlooks the pool and offers indoor and outdoor seating.
We decided to enjoy brunch and dinner there for two of the days. The Portabello Burger special was delicious and the housemade White Sangria was perfect after a long travel day. The brunch was served buffet style and had everything you could imagine and being just steps from the room it was convenient.
5. Nearby Attractions on International Drive
Even though the Wyndham makes you forget you are in Orlando the best part is that it is so convenient to many great area attractions. It is close to beaches, shopping, dining, and famous theme parks such as Walt Disney World Theme Parks and Universal Orlando.
It is also within walking distance to the new ICON Park Orlando entertainment complex which is right next door.
Tips When Staying at Wyndham I-Drive:
- This hotel is pet friendly, so you can bring your furry loved ones.
- The hotel charges a $22 per day resort fee.
- The hotel offers shuttle service to Universal Studios and SeaWorld.
Overall Thoughts:
We stayed for four days and would have stayed longer if we could. We had so much fun exploring Orlando. The beds at the Wyndham were super comfy, probably some of the most comfortable hotel beds I have slept on.
Wyndham I-Drive is a hotel that won’t break the budget and close proximity to popular theme parks, attractions, dining, and shopping. You couldn’t ask for a more perfect hotel and location for such a great price.
