Vampire donuts are playful and spookily delightful treats. With candy eyes and “blood” oozing from the plastic fangs, this Halloween-inspired twist to the classic donut is creative.
Ingredients:
- 1 package of plastic vampire teeth (not edible)
- 1 dozen of your favorite glazed donuts
- Mini candy eyes
- Black decorating gel
- Red decorating gel
- Parchment Paper
Instructions:
1. Begin by placing a sheet of parchment paper to cover your work area and line your glazed donuts on the parchment paper.
2. For each donut, take a pair of plastic vampire teeth, hold them closed, and gently place them in the center of the donut. Carefully let go and allow them to open.
3. Use the black decorating gel to create a “V” shaped or “widow’s peak” hairline.
4. Next, use your black decorating gel to place a small dollop on the back of each candy eye and place it onto your donut above the top of the teeth.
5. Then put lines of red decorating gel from the bottom of the vampire teeth down.
6. Repeat the process for each donut.
7. Allow the vampire donuts to sit at room temperature for about 20 minutes or until the decorative gel is dry.
