The Rock Ranch – Upcoming Fall Family Fun Events

I can’t believe Fall is already upon us. If you are looking for some FUN Fall Family Events, then head over to The Rock Ranch, founded by the late S. Truett Cathy of Chick-fil-A. My family loves spending time at The Rock Ranch. It is a beautiful 1,500 acre working cattle ranch located about an hour south of Atlanta in Upson County. It’s a place where families, school groups, and even businesses can come to enjoy what we call “agritourism.” The Rock Ranch is dedicated to “Growing Healthy Families!”

Rock Ranch October Schedule:

Oct. 6 – Superhero Day – featuring Black Panther, Thor, Iron Man, Captain America, and Wonder Woman, Hope & Will from Children’s Healthcare, Cowboys, the Chick-fil-A cow, and real-life superheroes! Don’t miss the live music, superhero costume contests with cash prizes, and of course the 25+ attractions like our Aflac Cancer Treatment Center “Encourage” corn maze!
Oct. 8 – Columbus Day – School is out. Head to The Rock Ranch for some good, old-fashioned fun outside. Families can enjoy the more than 25 attractions for some fresh air and family time like zip lines and train rides.
Oct. 13 – Great Outdoor Adventure – offering hands-on interactions with wildlife including alligators, snakes, a red-footed tortoise, hedgehogs, and a bald eagle; meet and greets with Curious George, edu-tainment with Ranger Nick, birds of prey shows, and archery.
Oct. 20 – Up, Up, and Away – experience hot air balloon tethered rides (weather permitting, $5/child, $10/adult, cash only), the Ferrell Gas balloon glow at dark, stilt walkers, world record holder trampoline performers, para-gliders, acrobat shows, and 25+ attractions including bungee trampolines and Tiny Town.
Oct. 27 – “Not-So-Spooky” Halloween – including costume contests for people and pups (must be on a leash), trick-or-treating, World Champion Frisbee Dog shows, magic shows and balloon twisting by former Atlanta Entertainer of the Year, meet and greets and photo ops with Pete the Cat
Nov 3 – National Pumpkin Destruction Day – A nationally recognized original creation of The Rock Ranch – featuring monster truck rides ($6), pumpkin bowling, monster truck car and pumpkin crushing shows, a 40 ft pumpkin drop, pumpkin cannon, live music and more.
Sunday Fun Days each Sunday in October – enjoy all The Rock Ranch has to offer on a crisp Sunday afternoon from zip lining to gemstone mining to Tiny Town. Bring a church bulletin to receive a discount on tickets!
