Directions to Cook the Meatballs
How do you prepare the fantastic cheesy meatball soup in your Instant Pot?
First, you want to place your pressure cooker in saute mode. Throw in the veggies and saute these for approximately four to five minutes. Once the vegetables are nice and soft, you add in the beef broth.
Now we are on to the meatballs! Yes, I know you can buy pre-made meatballs, but these are so simple and delicious, why bother? Trust me here, and you will not be disappointed.
In a medium-size mixing bowl, combine ground beef, oats, egg, salt and Tabasco sauce. Mix this all up. (You might have to get your hands a little dirty here.) Once the beef is well-mixed form the mixture into one-inch meatballs.
Now it’s time for the magic. Add the meatballs, veggies, and beef broth all to the Instant Pot. Once everything is in the pot, we want to add the lid and turn the pressure valve to seal. This recipe cooks on high pressure for ten minutes.
Once the cooking time is complete, do the quick pressure release method. Now, this step is where we add in the extra goodness, and by that, I mean the cheese and heavy cream. Give everything a thorough stir as the cheese melts. Once everything is melty and gooey, it’s time to serve the soup.
