With Mother’s Day quickly approaching, the time is now to start thinking of that “one-of-a-kind” gift to give your Mom that she will not only love but be able to keep for years to come. Chocolates are great but tend to get eaten quickly, gifts cards are given and are a one-and-done type use and then it’s over…and real flowers picked and hand-delivered may be pretty for a few days but soon begin to wilt and lose their beauty. This Mother’s Day, why not give your Mom the gift of a Handmade Card Made With Rolled Flowers? Think about how much she would appreciate a gift that you took time on, created, and tailored just for her. And the best part? The flowers on the card will NEVER wilt or die meaning that she can keep this Mother’s Day gift for forever! Sounds like the perfect plan for the perfect Mother’s Day gift, right? While this card would be fine on its own, pair it up with a nice breakfast in bed to really start her day with a bang. And don’t worry! The directions for this super simple Mother’s Day craft are step-by-step and easy to follow. You’ll be amazed at your end product and your Mom will be wowed by your creativity!

List of Supplies:

    1. Colored Craft Papers – 5-6 different colors
    2. Scissors
    3. Craft Glue
    4. Brown Burlap Fabric
    5. Pencil (optional)
    6. Template

Step by Step Instructions on How to Make This Handmade Card:

Step 1:

Print and cut out the patterns from this template. If you’re an expert in cutting templates then you can cut the patterns without the template. The template includes 5 spiral patterns with scallop border, 5 small square patterns with fringed edge and 8 leaf patterns. Trace the patterns on the selected craft papers and cut them out nicely.

Step 2:

Take any one of the spiral patterns and roll it from its outer edge. Continue to roll towards the center. After reaching the center allow the rolled patterns to loosen up a little and then glue the rolled patterns with the center of the spiral to secure the roll. Also roll the small square fringed patterns along their intact side. Similarly prepare the rest of the items.

Step 3:

Glue the fringed rolled patterns on the center of the rolled flower patterns.

Step 4:

Take a piece of white craft paper and a brown burlap fabric piece. Cut the burlap into a basket shape, the size of the basket should be relatively smaller than the white craft paper. Glue the burlap basket pattern on the white craft paper, near to its bottom side.

Step 5:

Take any 3 rolled flowers and attach them along the top end of the basket, keeping them aligned or however you want. Attach the rest of the 2 flowers on the top of the 3 flowers.

Step 6:

Now attach the leaves between the flowers, randomly.

Step 7:

Finally, prepare the card, which should be at least 2 cm bigger from all sides than the white craft paper. Attach the white craft paper (with the flower basket) on the center of the prepared card.
