Staying at the Sheraton Bay Point Resort in Panama City Beach was a stay that exceeded my expectations. Not only was everything about it just amazing, it was the perfect way to spend Mother’s Day weekend as well. From the moment my family and I arrived to the moment that we left, we were truly pampered.
To say that we stayed in luxury is truly an understatement. With the recent $30 Million dollar renovation and the fact that it is the only AAA 4 Star Diamond resort in Panama City Beach, this resort does not disappoint. Once you take your first steps inside their lobby, there’s not a doubt in your mind that you’ve stepped foot into a true beach-front destination. My accommodations were provided to me by the Sheraton Bay Point to help facilitate this review, but my opinions are always my own.
Sheraton Bay Point Resort – The Resort with the Never-Ending View
One of my favorite features of the resort was the fact that the views of the bay never stopped. You could truly stand on the end of the pier and see nothing but water for miles and miles.
And those sunsets? Breathtaking….
My family and I absolutely loved the fact that we were able to step outside the resort, head down to the pier, and have our toes in the sand on Sheraton’s private bay beach within minutes. No need to travel off location to enjoy the waterfront is an absolute bonus!
Upgrades galore everywhere you look!
Did I mention that the resort just went through a $30 million dollar renovation! And it shows! No corner of that resort was left untouched and each area of the resort was better than the next.
The lobby was decorated perfectly with splashes of coral and turquoise blue water colors. The rooms were upgraded with modern amenities and coastal decor. It’s no surprise that this resort is considered the place to stay when visiting the Panama City Beach area.
Sheraton Bay Point Resort offers guests their own private beach!
Yes, you read that right. Part of the perk at staying at this resort is that each guest has the availability to be able to sit and relax on the resort’s private beach. Relax in a hammock and sip away on a drink, or just roam around and explore a bit…the options are there and available for each and every resort guest.
Private Shuttle directly to Shell Island
Need a lift over to the beautiful Shell Island? Sheraton Bay Point Resort has you covered. It’s one of the perks of staying at the resort that you can take a shuttle directly to Shell Island. And trust me, it’s an Island that you want to visit and see for yourself.
There is a reason why it is called Shell Island.
With over 7 miles of beach, it’s the perfect way to relax in a bit of seclusion with you and your family. Shuttle is $10 per person for resort guests and $20 per person for non-resort guests.
The pier is truly something to experience
Not only does the pier at Sheraton Bay Point Resort take you on a walk over the beautiful water, it also leads you straight to some delicious food options as well.
Pelicans is an open-concept restaurant at the end of the pier that offers stellar views and some great food options that are certain to please! Make sure to order some Shrimp Nachos. They are out of this world!
In addition to leading you to Pelican’s, the pier is also the walkway to the private beach and leads you to some super fun water sports activities too! With it being over 300 yards long, it’s the perfect way to take in the beautiful panoramic view of everything that the resort has to offer.
There are family-friendly activities everywhere you turn
During our stay at the resort, we were never sitting around fiddling our thumbs or trying to find activities to occupy our time. When I say that this resort is jam-packed full of family-friendly activities, it truly is! Not only can you rent a pontoon boat, and a jet ski but you can even take a dolphin tour as well.
Combine all those awesome water activities with the other amenities at the resort, and you’ll never have a dull moment your entire stay!
Hungry for some fresh seafood? Tides is the place to be!
I love seafood and when I found out that the resort had a fresh seafood option restaurant, we beelined to it to check it out. One word: wow. The seafood and other food options at Tides were truly delicious. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, their menu was loaded with great options that fit all the varying taste buds of every member of our family.
We arrived with a hearty appetite and left more than satisfied! Tides Restaurant hosts several special events throughout the year, like the Mother’s Day Brunch we attended.
Pool time while grabbing a bite to eat? Absolutely!
Not one, but two choices of pools at this amazing resort?
The one aspect that I absolutely loved was Sheraton had a restaurant poolside, just waiting for your order. Flip-Flops is a delicious choice and a great way to order some fun drinks and appetizers while lounging around the pool.
When I say that my family and I spent several hours at the pool, we absolutely did. With drinks and food so close nearby, we were able to relax and enjoy our time without having to leave the area! Plus our server Michael, makes a killer Margarita and Mojito!
Sheraton Bay Point – Serenity Spa
A little Mother’s Day pampering was just what I needed. My daughters and I were also treated to an enjoyable spa experience at Serenity Spa, located directly next door to the Sheraton Bay Point.
We had to get our toes beach-ready so pedicures were a must, followed by massages to relieve all that travel tension. Book early as their spa services fill up quickly, and for good reason!
If you are looking for an amazing place to stay while visiting Panama City Beach, look no further than Sheraton Bay Point Resort. While you may be visiting the area for vacation, the resort itself does a great job of offering you any amenity that you could truly want to take your vacation from good, to great! If you are looking for a place to host a company event, family reunion, or wedding, then Sheraton Bay Point would be the perfect place to host those events too!
