Running a home with 3 kids, husband, a blog, and college it can be hard to keep track of life. The one thing that has helped us keep our lives on track is technology. I don’t know where I’d be without the help of certain products we have in our home. Recently, I decided that I wanted to see how else we could incorporate technology into our homes to make life even more organized and easier. I heard about Best Buy and how they have brought to life the latest technology at their Tech Home in the Mall of America. For a limited time you can tour the Tech Home at North Point Mall.
Customers can touch and try technology. You can even have a tour of the Tech Home with a expert Blue Shirt or Geek Squad Agent. If you’re up for it, you can also schedule an in home consultation with an advisor. Get this: these guys can even get your tech up and running. While taking my tour, there were some really cool products from Samsung that I fell in love with and I want to to talk about them for a minute.
Samsung SmartThings Hub
My favorite part of the tour was the Samsung SmartThings Hub. The Samsung SmartThings Hub is really the brain of the home. I loved how this worked and can’t wait to get one installed in my home. I got to experience this when I took the Tech Home tour. I love that it connects wirelessly to tons of home items like smart locks, lights, thermostats, and more. There is even a SmartThings app, and it’s awesome! Isn’t it time we make all of our lives easier?
Samsung SmartThings Arrival Sensor
One of the many products I loved was the Samsung SmartThings Arrival Sensor that notifies you when your kids come home from school. Safety is so important these days especially when it comes to your children.
This sensor is amazing. You place the sensor on your child’s bag, you can stay connected as they leave or enter your home. When the kids come home from school, you can hear them come in. I love this part. The sensor allows you take actions when you leave or enter a home.
Samsung SmartThings Water Leak Sensor
Another neat sensor that I cannot wait to have in my home. The Samsung SmartThings Water Leak Sensor. This sensor will alert you when you have moisture. How great is this? I really needed this a few years ago when my basement flooded. Water damage is no fun and preventing it before it gets worse can be a life and money saver.
There is even a Samsung SmartThings Home Monitoring Kit that you can buy and use in your home. You can add smartness to your home with the SmartThings Home Monitoring Kit. Contains a SmartThings Hub, two Multipurpose Sensors, a Motion Sensor, and an Outlet.
Samsung Galaxy Note 7
Want to make all of this easier on yourself? Using the Samsung Galaxy Note7 is a great way to take advantage of all of this smart technology. You can get a ton day with this tablet, stay organized, and store tons of information. I love the S Pen feature where you can write and draw. The size of the Note is exciting for me and I also love the premium water-resistant design.

So many great things! I really want to get that sensor that detects leaks! I could have used that on my kitchen sink last month to discover it was leaking sooner than I did.

It is insane the things technology can do these days. We’re soon going to be saying to ourselves, remember the days when we didn’t know our kids were home from school until we got home ourselves? Oh wait, we already say that!
