The Perfect Weekend Retreat at Reynolds Lake Oconee in Greensboro, Georgia
Located just 90 miles east of Atlanta, Reynolds Lake Oconee offers something for the whole family. The gorgeous green hills of Georgia combined with the natural beauty of Lake Oconee capture the heart of every visitor. Just in time for Spring, the Club Cottages at Lake Oconee are ready to welcome guests. My weekend accommodations were provided to me to help facilitate this review, but my opinions are always my own.
The Gold Course at Reynolds Lake Oconee
Adjacent to the National Course at Reynold’s Lake Oconee, the cottages offer a spacious retreat that’s perfect for any golf lover. The golf course was recognized as one of the finest collection of golf courses in the nation by GOLF Magazine. Legendary golfer, Tom Fazio, designed the award-winning course.
Looking for something other than golf? As Georgia’s second largest lake, Lake Oconee provides some of the state’s best fishing, along with swimming, boating, water skiing, camping, picnicking, and water skiing.

Rent the Club Cottages for a weekend, a week, or even a month! Each cottage feels like an escape from the hussle of the city. They are nestled in the Oconee forest, with views of the golf course and offer lake access.
Cottages at Reynolds Lake Oconee
While they are perfect for groups of golfers coming to play, they also accommodate large families of up to eight people. That’s perfect for an extended family vacation. Each Club Cottage features four bedrooms, 4½ baths, and a full kitchen, as well as two open living spaces and an expansive porch area. The kitchen features modern brand-name appliances and an expansive refrigerator for guests that want to cook. The granite center-island in the kitchen, quickly became a social gathering spot for our family. My girls loved to sit at the stools to chat, while I cooked.
The cottages are fully furnished and offer plenty of sitting area for families to relax and mingle. Neutral colors combined with the dark flooring made our cottage feel cozy and inviting. Each night, we relaxed around the stone fireplace, and every morning we enjoyed a cup of coffee on the porch.

The National Tavern Restaurant
The National Tavern is the newest restaurant and within walking distance of the cottages. It features casual cuisine with a pub-like atmosphere that’s warm and inviting. I enjoyed the delicious Lemon Fennel Glazed Salmon and my husband had the Tavern Steak. Everything was delicious and filling. We were definitely spoiled!

Here you can find southern favorites like Biscuits & Gravy, Bacon, Eggs, Grits, and fresh Omelettes. Saturday and Sundays they serve buffet style. You will definitely leave with full and happy bellies!
