I’m literally on the edge of my seat for all of you to watch Ralph Breaks The Internet on opening day. On November 21st, Ralph will be breaking the internet throughout thousands of theaters all across the world. I’ve been fortunate enough to be on the journey of learning everything about the creative process when it comes to Ralph and all his friends and I can’t wait for each and every one of you to see this wonderful film!
Myself, along with 24 other bloggers, were invited by Disney to attend the #ChristopherRobinEvent and #RalphBreaksTheInternetEvent press junket. All expenses were paid and all opinions are our own.
Creating an animated movie takes years upon years of dedicated and persistent work. Being a part of this press junket truly opened my eyes to all the hard work and effort that every single person put forth to make Ralph Breaks The Internet a huge success. (Have I mentioned how excited I am for you to see it?!)
When watching this amazing film, pay close attention to one scene in particular. To the movie world it’s known as “Oh My Disney Dot Com”, but to the viewers and media talking about this film it’s being called “The Princess Scene”. Regardless of what it’s being referred to as, just know that this scene is one that you will never, ever forget. If you love everything about Disney princesses, get ready to fall completely held of heels with the Princess Scene in Ralph Breaks the Internet. It is personally one of my favorite movie scenes!

Oh My Disney Dot Com – Where Every Disney Princess Matters
During the press event, myself and all the other bloggers were invited to sit in on an information session about the idea behind bringing all the other Disney Princesses into the land of the Internet as well.

It was obvious from the start that they took great pride in this scene and it was near and dear to their hearts. (as it should be, it’s truly awesome) Pamela was full of energy and was gushing about how the idea for “Oh My Disney Dot Com” came to be and the additional enthusiasm by Ami and Kira kept me wanting to hear more and more!

From the thought process of a scene to the finalization, all three of these innovative and powerful women taught us that teamwork really and truly can make magical dreams come true.

ROYAL REUNION – In “Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck It Ralph 2,” Vanellope von Schweetz—along with her best friend Ralph—ventures into the uncharted world of the internet. When she finds herself surrounded by Disney princesses, she’s surprised to learn that she actually has a lot in common with them. The scene, highlighted in a new trailer for the film, features several of the original princess voices, including Auli‘i Cravalho (“Moana”), Kristen Bell (Anna in “Frozen”), Idina Menzel (Elsa in “Frozen”), Kelly MacDonald (Merida in “Brave”), Mandy Moore (Rapunzel in “Tangled”), Anika Noni Rose (Tiana in “The Princess and the Frog”), Ming-Na Wen (“Mulan”), Irene Bedard (“Pocahontas”), Linda Larkin (Jasmine in “Aladdin”), Paige O’Hara (Belle in “Beauty and the Beast”) and Jodi Benson (Ariel in “The Little Mermaid”). Featuring Sarah Silverman as the voice of Vanellope, “Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck It Ralph 2” opens in theaters nationwide Nov. 21, 2018…©2018 Disney. All Rights Reserved.
“What Kind of Princess Are You?”
Quite the question, right? But when Vanellope stumbles upon a room full of the other Disney princesses, this is one of the first things said to her right from the start.
Pamela (screenwriter) explained how the idea just kinda came about, and she felt that it was either going to be epic and go viral or have it tossed in the trash never to see the light of day. (Thank goodness it didn’t get tossed! It’s seriously one of the best scenes of the movie!) After creating the first draft, she felt a weird “feeling” but went with her gut and read it out loud to the room full of other decision-makers for the film. Once she read through her script, one question was asked…”Do you think we can get away with this?”
With that one simple question a challenge was made and the brilliant minds behind the movie, Ralph Breaks The Internet knew that they had an absolute hit on their hands.
Ami and Kira took the time to talk about the creative process and how the early boards with a vision will then go to script and screening, and often times they do the scratch voices themselves for the characters just to see how it sounds and flows.
Talk about teamwork in making this portion of the film come together and not to mention, getting the original actresses to voice the Princesses in this movie. Having the princesses together in one room – AMAZING!

What can Vanellope teach the other Disney Princesses?
Maybe a better question to ask would be, what can’t she teach them? When thinking of a Disney princess using the ones from the previous Disney stories, Vanellope doesn’t exactly fit the mold. But honestly, that’s what makes her a true princess after all because she shows the other princesses that it’s okay to let their hair down and wear pants and that they don’t need to depend on someone or something else to lead them in their life.
We could all learn a few life lessons from Princess Vanellope if you ask me! I for one will be referring to this scene for many, many years when educating my daughters on what a “true” princess truly is!
If you can purchase your tickets online early, do so! This movie is going to sell out fast and the lines are going to be out the door. While Ralph may be breaking the Internet, I also have a feeling that he’s going to be breaking movie records as well!
