Tips When Visiting Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party

If you’re traveling to Walt Disney World during the Fall season, you can’t miss Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. It’s a special ticket event that runs from August – November at the Magic Kingdom park. The party is fun for all ages and offers guests entertainment, special treats and fireworks. Whether you’re a seasoned visitor or new to the event, I’ve got 6 insider tips for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party that will help you make the most of it. I was provided complimentary tickets for my review. All opinions are my own and not influenced.

Mickey's Not so scary Halloween

This was my family’s first Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party in Walt Disney World and it was truly a memorable experience! We can’t wait to go back next year.

You Can Enter the Park Early

The festivities officially begin at 7pm, but guests with a ticket to the party may enter Magic Kingdom Park as early as 4pm. When you arrive, you’ll receive a wristband that designates you’re a party guest. If you enter early, you can take advantage of visiting the most popular attractions while normal guests leave the park.

Have a Plan

You don’t want to waste your party time, so make a plan about what’s important to your family. The character meet and greets are popular and sometimes have long lines.

There are plenty of great spots for the Boo to You parade, but you may want to hold your spot along the parade route before it begins. There is plenty of fun to experience all night long!

Wear a Costume

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party is all about being festive for the season. Many families love to dress up together. Be sure to check the costume guidelines before attending.

Then, capture the fun memories you’re making with magic shots. With Magic Shots from Disney PhotoPass Service, you can transform your photos into unique keepsakes of you reacting to a ghoulish party surprise.

Don’t Miss the Parade and Fireworks

The biggest events of the night are the Boo to You Parade and Hallowishes. These are two of my favorite Disney World entertainment options. They offer an earlier and a later parade time. Typically, the second parade is less busy and you’re better bet. The fireworks are truly spectacular to watch! For the best views, I would sit directly in front of the castle.

Take Advantage of Trick-or-Treating

Little guests love to collect candy at the designated trick-or-treating stations. Be sure to grab a party map to locate all of the locations throughout the park. If you have a family member with a food allergy, Disney can accommodate you!

They offer teal bags with special teal tokens specifically for kids with food allergies. When you pick up your trick or treat bag at the beginning of the party, you have the option to get a teal allergy friendly bag instead of the standard one. The teal bag alerts cast members to give you a teal token instead of candy for your treat. Then you can redeem your tokens for allergy friendly treats.

Shop Special Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party Merchandise

If you’re looking for a commemorative item to remember your visit, look for special party merchandise around the parks. On Main Street, the Emporium offers the biggest selection of merchandise. Foodies will love the various party treats available. Pumpkin Cheesecake Dome, Pumpkin Mickey Waffles and Candy Corn Ice Cream are a few guest favorites.
