‘Meaning of Life’ – Kelly Clarkson’s New Album and Powerful Lyrics

What does the meaning of life mean for you? I should start out by saying that my family and I have been through a lot of big changes lately.  I am about to turn forty, my son just left for the Navy and my girls are both about to become teenagers. As I am growing older, my children are growing up faster than I can keep up. The thought of letting them go, it makes me pause and reflect on the meaning of life. It seems like yesterday I was taking them home from the hospital. My children have taught me so many life lessons, but most importantly they are a major influence on who I have become. Although I have impacted them all throughout their childhood, they have impacted me in so many unthinkable ways. Through my children, I have become a more stronger and confident woman. I may have some gray hairs, fine lines and wrinkles but my children are a daily reminder of my life story, which is something to truly celebrate.The meaning of life for me is my children.

With that said, I’ve always turned to music to help me through the ups and downs of life. Music really does influence the mood and certain types of music truly move me. What am I trying to convey? Music for me is a powerful thing and helps me get through these sometimes difficult, life transitions. Music can move the soul.That is what Kelly Clarkson’s new album ‘Meaning of Life’ has done for me.

One of my favorite artists has always been Kelly Clarkson. I saw her when she debuted on American Idol many years ago and I’ve been a huge fan since. Kelly has recently released a new album titled ‘Meaning of Life’. When I first heard what was going to be on this album, I was so excited. With a lot of changes happening in my life, I knew I was going to be able to use this album to help me through.

First of all, I want to applaud her for her originality in this album.  Her vocals are truly amazing and she truly draws you in to her music.! I love the spunky, upbeat lyrics. To distract myself from some of the things happening in my every day, listening to “Love So Soft” has been so much fun to listen to. It’s upbeat lyrics will make you want to get up, clap, dance, and sing along!  I know you’ve heard “Love So Soft” on the radio already. My girls and I sing it all the time in the car now. The rest of the track list is just as fun and soul moving. One of my favorite songs on the whole list is “Meaning of Life.” With this being her 8^th studio album, I think some of the words in this song speak to me deeply. Out of any music I’ve listened to in my lifetime, I always appreciated Kelly’s real and authentic approach to her songs. I’ve always could relate to her songs in some way. The ‘Meaning of Life’ album has meant even more to me, since I have watched my children move into their own season of life.
