Fun Easter Games for Kids
While Easter is full of dying eggs, eating egg-shaped Reese’s peanut butter cups and enjoying time with family and friends, there are so many more activities out there that people aren’t even aware of that are so much fun! These are the perfect way to burn off some of that energy from those sugary goodies in those Easter baskets and create memories that will last a lifetime. Take a look at these 8 popular and fun Easter games for kids below! I’ve even included some do it yourself activities that will be easy to include everyone in on.
1. Bean Bag Toss
Bean Bag Toss is the perfect activity for both indoors and outdoors if the weather happens to not be cooperating! Also is a great way to incorporate a little learning into your day as it requires some mathematics for the scoring aspect of it. I’d say that’s a win-win!
2. Potato Sack Race
This 6 pack of potato sacks is perfect because both adults and children can utilize them. While they aren’t Easter themed, you could always do a little painted of your own and decorate them as you please!
Add some different colored Easter eggs, paint some bunnies or even just add some cute pastel colors flowers. There are many different fabric paints available, but this 3D Permanent Fabric Paint set that comes with 24 different colors is by far my favorite!
3. Easter Bingo
Lets be honest, who doesn’t love bingo?! This Easter Bingo set comes with 24 different cards and can be used in a variety of ways whether it’s for your classroom, playing at your family Easter get together, or adding it inside of your kiddos Easter basket.
4. Pin the Tail on the Bunny
Whether you have a large family or simply like some variety, Pin the Tail on the Bunny is a 3 pack Pin the Tail activity that comes with a bunny where you pin the tail, a little ducky where you pin the beak, along with an Easter Egg basket where you pin the egg. Not only are these all reusable, but they are also washable and super easy to store away. Or make your own. This game is super fun and challenging once the blindfold is on.
5. DIY Easter Checkers
For the base of the checkerboard you can use a variety of things, but I would suggest cardboard as it is easily accessible and also has a nice thickness to it. I would avoid using paper as it may be too flimsy. Have some placemats you aren’t utilizing? Those would work perfectly for the checkboard too!
To make your actual checkers, this is where the fun part comes in! After you’ve dyed your eggs naturally, use the egg carton and cut out each of the individual egg holders, draw on a cute little bunny face, add some little ears and BAM! You have an Easter inspired checker game that can be used over and over again.
6. DIY Bunny Pinata
Curious how you can make your own DIY Bunny pinata? It’s not as terrifying or complicated as it may seem. I would recommend using either crepe paper or some tissue paper and all you have to do is lay it out and fill it with some candy and shape it into a cute bunny and tie it up. Then add a little nose with a pom-pom and create some ears with the extra cloth once tied together.
Use your imagination or go on Pinterest to find a little inspiration. Not in a creative mood? No worries, this adorable Bunny Pinata will surely be a show stopper!
7. Easter Egg Hunt
An Easter Egg Hunt is the perfect activity for the entire family to participate in! This set comes with 288 plastic Easter eggs to make this an extreme sport like competition. Add some sweet prizes to these eggs such as candy, cute little children’s toys or even some money! Most importantly, these eggs are safe for children, allowing you to have a stress free and enjoyable time.
8. Easter Scavenger Hunt Game
