Is Disney World Worth It For Adults?

As an adult, there are advantages to visiting Walt Disney World for a vacation. For example, you will be able to choose restaurants more suited to a meal between adults. Raglan Road is not to be missed.

Planning a Disney vacation can get intense right?  I mean just thinking about where to dine as adults-only makes me wonder if the Disney Dining plan is the right choice.  But also, where should you stay?

Also, as an adult, your pace and activities are completely up to you. This is difficult when you are with kids as you have to also consider their bedtime and safety.

If you’re looking for the top tips you need to plan your Disney vacation for adults?  Take a look at this.

Which Disney Park is best for adults?

The ideal park for adults in our opinion is Epcot, though I love all of the Disney parks, and suggest you see them all.

I say Epcot due to its World Showcase and its fabulous restaurants and pavilions from other countries.

There are also many more interesting attractions and rides for adults. Disney’s Hollywood Studios is also a very popular park for adults. Adults will love the new Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge. Don’t forget to stop by Oga’s Cantina and enjoy an exotic concoction on their menu.

Also, do not prevent yourself from going to visit Disney’s Animal Kingdom since this park is above all a zoo.

You also shouldn’t leave Florida without going to visit Magic Kingdom. The only place is known as the happiest place in the world!

What can adults do in Disney World?

Disney is seen by many as a paradise for children. It is also a destination where adults can feel like children again. However, Walt Disney World in Orlando also has attractions for those who are looking for adrenaline. Here are ten attractions at the four Disney parks in Orlando, made for adults and kids at heart.

1. Space mountain

Although it is not one of the fastest (it reaches a maximum speed of 27 miles per hour). The fact that it is an indoor roller coaster in the dark makes the tour more exciting. The darkness combined with the light effects makes you feel like you are going faster.

Location: Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom

Height required: 44 “/ 113 cm

2. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

With an Old West theme, this roller coaster will take you on a tour through an abandoned mine. Reaching a top speed of 36 miles per hour, once on the train, you will pass through tunnels, caverns, and a waterfall. It reaches a maximum height of 197 feet, making it one of the tallest mountains in the Magic Kingdom.

Location: Frontierland at Magic Kingdom

Height required: 40 “/ 102 cm

3. Splash Mountain

Here you will board a boat that will take you on a ride through a swamp, based on the Disney movie “Song of The South”. To complete the journey, the boat will unexpectedly descend from five stories high, ending in a fun dip.

Location: Frontierland at Magic Kingdom

Height required: 40 “/ 102 cm

4. Test Track Presented by Chevrolet

Recently renovated, with its grand reopening on December 6, Test Track offers an interactive experience that will take you behind the scenes to discover the automotive industry.

Here you will have the opportunity to design virtually every detail of your vehicle, from shape to engine size and paint. After completing the vehicle, groups of 6 people will board a car called “SimCar”, where they will test their vehicle.

They get to test their capacity, efficiency, degree of reaction, and strength. The attraction reaches a maximum speed of 65 miles per hour, making it the fastest of the Disney parks.

Location: Future World at Epcot

Height required: 40 “/ 102 cm

5. The Dinosaur

You will be selected to be part of an important mission – to save a dinosaur species before it goes extinct. This attraction takes you on a journey through time, to the age of dinosaurs.

Location: DinoLand USA at Animal Kingdom

Height required: 40 “/ 102 cm

6. Legend of the Forbidden Mountain (Expedition Everest)

One of the Disney Mountains, covering 6.2 acres in Animal Kingdom, this roller coaster takes you on an expedition through the Himalaya Mountains. During the tour you will face the dreaded Yeti, the Guardian of the Mountain, sliding at 50 miles per hour.

Location: The Africa area at Animal Kingdom

Height required: 44 “/ 113 cm

7. Soarin’

It is one of the most popular Epcot attractions.  In Soarin, you will fly like a bird over the state of California, simulating a hang-gliding or paragliding style flight.

After getting up to 40 feet high, the sensation of flight is complemented by a film on a 180-degree IMAX screen and a multi-sensory experience. You will feel the breeze of the infinite ocean, the smell of oranges, you will enjoy the beautiful view of the iconic Golden Gate Bridge as if you were really flying over California.

Location: Future World at Epcot

Height required: 40 “/ 102 cm

8. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

Welcome to the Hollywood Tower Hotel. Based on the classic horror series, “The Twilight Zone”, this attraction takes you on an elevator tour of the famous, but a mysterious hotel.

But be careful: on reaching the 13th floor, the elevator doors open offering a view of the park before the elevator falls in free fall as if it were possessed by a ghost.

Location: Sunset Boulevard at Hollywood Studios

Height required: 40 “/ 102 cm

9. Mission: Space

Prepare for takeoff on the next mission to the planet Mars! This attraction gives you a unique experience, where you are part of a crew that is undergoing training for a mission to space.

Once you are on the rocket, you will feel the rocket positioned vertically.  When you finally take off, you will feel the force of gravity, which will hit you to the seat for a few seconds, and then see the effects of zero gravity when you reach space.

If you think the experience can be very intense, you can choose the “mild” or the softer option of the attraction. The mild or soft option is often recommended for those who are prone to dizziness.

Location: Future World at Epcot

Height required: 44 “/ 113 cm

10. Rock n ‘Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith

You and your group of friends were invited to the upcoming concert by the rock band Aerosmith. In order for them to arrive as soon as possible, the band sends a super fast limo.

The roller coaster goes from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 2.8 seconds, with a couple of reverse laps and, of course, with music from the band throughout the journey.

Location: Sunset Boulevard at Hollywood Studios

Height required: 40 “/ 102 cm

Is it weird for adults to go to Disney World?

Initially, Walt Disney World was built for children but also for adults who have kept their children’s hearts.

Many of Walt Disney’s attractions and rides are specifically made to be enjoyed by both adults or children.  So no, it isn’t weird for adults to go to Disney World.
