There are many great beach locales in the Southeast to go for vacation. Maybe you want to go somewhere different this year. Try some of these great beaches for your next family getaway.
Sea Camp Beach–Georgia

Sea Camp Beach is on Cumberland Island’s Atlantic side. This beach is part of an 18 mile stretch of sand that is wild and untamed.
Strolling along the beach you will discover lots of driftwood and seashells. There are rolling dunes with sea grass for a scenic view. You can also collect sharks’ teeth from the sand.
Sea Camp beach is also home to sea turtles, manatees, wild horses and even horseshoe crabs. The area is full of nature discoveries. This area is great for bird watching, too.
You can stay at the campground, or there are nearby hotels in Kingsland. There are plenty of stores nearby to pick up any things you may have forgotten at home.
Pine Knoll Shores- North Carolina

Pine Knoll Shores is located on North Carolina’s Crystal Coast. While nearby Atlantic Beach is bustling, Pine Knoll Shores is relaxed and the natural beauty abounds.
Since the beaches here are south facing toward the Atlantic, there are rolling waves to play in and surfing, too.
One of North Carolina’s great aquariums is also located at Pine Knoll Shores and is fun for all ages. You can touch a stingray and explore shipwrecks here.
There are many walking trails nearby where you can view marshes or dunes and all the wildlife there. You might see squirrels, rabbits, river otters, turtles and frogs. There are many water birds in the area, such as ospreys, egrets and heron.
Jupiter–Florida

Just north of Palm Beach and Miami, lies the town of Jupiter. There are many beaches in and around this town. These are classified as parks and have various activities.
Dubois Park has 1200 feet of beach front with a 100 foot swimming lagoon. The lagoon is guarded and you can snorkel there. There is boat access as well as for canoes and kayaks. There are also historic areas here.
Carlin Park has 3000 feet of guarded beach front. There are picnic pavilions and bocce courts. Sand volleyball is there on the beach, too. For disabled guests, there is even a beach surf wheelchair available.
Jupiter Beach Park has 1700 feet of guarded beachfront. You can have dogs on the beach as well. There is 1 sand volleyball court and a picnic area with grills.
Ocean Cay Park sits on over 13 acres and has lovely unguarded beach frontage. There are playgrounds and picnic pavilions. You can saltwater fish here too. There is also a nice plaza for special events.
